Introducing Energy Leadership™
When was the last time you overslept? It happened to us this morning. I woke up feeling at peace. My body rested, mind clear and I felt energized for the day. Then I looked at the clock and realized we were running late. An hour later we rushed out the door completely thrown off our normal routine. I felt irritated as I coaxed my young daughter to get dressed, stressed thinking about all the things I should have gotten done by now and frustrated because I felt like everything was out of my control.
Now let’s jump to a few business examples:
You are thriving as a leader. You have a strategy, team and budget to achieve big goals this next year and then a major company transition happens - restructuring, acquisition, layoffs, etc. You feel out of control, frustrated and wonder why this always happens to you just when your success story is about to begin.
You are pumped and ready to lead a big pitch with a prospective client over Zoom. It’s a career game changer and you know you can win it. As you log into the meeting two minutes early, your internet goes out. Quickly you jump on your phone and make it on time to the call but your heart is already racing and you are clearly frazzled trying to present without your slides. Your meeting does not go as planned and you start to spiral into your doomsday thoughts.
You have a big week coming up as your team comes together for the quarterly sales kick off. After the past few pandemic years, you are thrilled to meet face-to-face and bond as a team. And then you get the call from school, your child is sent home sick. You need to implement the emergency coverage plan…yet again! You want to care for your child and you want to show up for your team but you know you cannot be in two places at once. You show up to work two hours late in your second outfit of the day because your child was sick all over you and start apologizing profusely for anything and everything. You are exhausted by the end of the day and it’s only the beginning of the week.
We all face challenges in leadership and life
Understanding how you show up under stress helps you take back your power so you can lead from the best version of you. This is where the concept of Energy Leadership™ comes into play. You gain awareness on how you perceive the world around you and the power to choose how you respond.
Through the Energy Leadership™ Index (ELI) assessment, the research-backed attitudinal assessment tool created by iPEC, you receive insights into your energetic makeup of the Seven Levels of Energy. It is unique to you and your viewpoints, perceptions and beliefs about leadership and life.
You learn how you lead when you feel your best and how you lead when you are stressed. Self-awareness allows you to consciously decide how you choose to act as a leader and drive monumental impact to reach your corporate goals sooner.
